With over 20 years of increasingly broad HR Management experience, Jill has trained and coached hundreds of supervisors, managers, and executives in basic and complex employment skills and techniques to decrease legal exposure, and increase employee relations and productivity.
Jill specializes in management and employee relations, investigating and resolving discrimination claims, executive and management level hiring and optimum performance systems, leadership skills training, and in facilitating consensus and organizational leadership initiatives with boards of directors for non-profit organizations. She also serves as an expert consultant to law firms engaged in employment litigation.
Prior
to co-founding TPO, Jill was employed by the Pebble Beach Company from 1980
through 1988. She formed the Human Resources Department for this internationally
renowned destination resort, where she was the Corporate Director of HR for over
1600 employees.
Jill
earned her national Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification
in 1993 by passing a rigorous examination demonstrating competencies in both
theoretical and practical experience of the considerable body of knowledge in
the field of HR. After completing two successful re-certifications (two
three-year cycles), she was recognized as a certified professional for life in
March of 1999. She served as the lead instructor from 1994 to 2001 for the SHRM
Learning System HRCI Certification Institute course through Chapman University.
Jill
is an Advisory Committee member of the Central Coast Human
Resources Association (a local chapter of SHRM national). CCHRA achieved its
first ever “Superior Merit Award” by SHRM in the Chapter’s 20-year history for
both years under her leadership as President. Prior to being President, she
served on the CCHRA board since 1996 as Government Affairs Director.
She
is a member of the Leadership Morgan Hill Board of Directors, and is a graduate
of Leadership Morgan Hill class of 2004.
