Kelsey brings over 10 years of broad HR and Training experience to her role as a TPO Human Resource Consultant. With a BS in Human Resources, a MA in Organization Development – Psychology, and SPHR Certification, Kelsey has consulted with private and public sector organizations, non-profit and educational institutions in the areas of strategic planning, training and development, recruitment, and communication. Kelsey is a skilled facilitator with demonstrated background in instructional design of training programs and materials. Kelsey is also skilled at Graphic Recording and is a Ropes Course Instructor/Facilitator.
Kelsey is quickly able to partner
and collaborate with her clients to define organization or employee issues.
Kelsey guides groups and individuals to focus their efforts in achieving
creative solutions. Kelsey works with her client to build community, excellence,
and a collaborative work and learning environment.
Kelsey specializes in planning and conducting TPO’s leadership skills training
and workshops, as well as other informative presentations to our members,
clients and community groups. Using her 9 plus years of training experience,
Kelsey encourages a high level of interaction and is able to provide real time
information or solutions that can easily be implemented. Additionally, Kelsey is
able to tune into individual learner needs to provide a customized learning
approach for each group.
Prior to joining TPO, Kelsey worked as an independent HR and Training
Consultant. Kelsey worked with Lee Hecht Harrison as a Senior Trainer and Coach,
working with displaced workers in job search skills, interviewing techniques and
resume writing. She also ran her own consulting business and worked with many
companies in the San Francisco Bay Area including high tech, education and many
non-profits. At the beginning of Kelsey’s HR career she played a key role in
hiring the founding faculty for California State University, Monterey Bay.
A few of Kelsey’s professional highlights include:
Conducted
an Intelligence Analyst Competency study for the FBI (Federal Bureau of
Investigation) in Washington, DC.
Developed
a training workshop for volunteers of the Sonoma County Task Force (Sonoma
County Board of Supervisors) on the Homeless, which provided practical skills in
interviewing the homeless population in Sonoma County.
Designed
and facilitated training programs in the areas of meeting management, career
development, train-the-trainer, listening skills, and sales & marketing skills.
