California law (AB 1825) requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide 2 hours of sexual harassment training by 12/31/05 and every two years thereafter to all supervisors/managers. Additionally, newly hired/promoted supervisors/managers must receive the training within 6 months of hire.

While the regulations only require “sexual harassment” training, TPO’s program goes well beyond the topic of “sexual harassment” to address all forms of harassment and discrimination (age, race, religion, disability, etc.) that today’s managers must be prepared to prevent and address. PREVENTION AND RESPONSE TRAINING
FOR BOTH SUPERVISORS/MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES

This program consists of a pretest, hypothetical situations, examples, video, discussion, reference materials, and PowerPoint visual support. The content is delivered by an experienced facilitator and participant involvement is encouraged.

Each participant will receive handouts including reference information, updated company Equal Employment Opportunity and Prohibited Harassment Policies, a State of CA Department of Fair Employment & Housing (DFEH) Sexual Harassment brochure, and an Acknowledgement form to be signed and placed in each employee’s respective personnel file.
