The 2011 required postings in California will have major revisions in the following areas:
1. New DWC From 1: provide as of 10/08/10. http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/forms/ClaimForm2010.pdf
2. New Poster: Post over the outdated version on 10/08/10. http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/forms/DWCForm7_2010.pdf
3. New “upon hire” Pamphlet: Though employers are required to provide information upon hire, a sample pamphlet is not provided on the DWC website. Employers either use what their carrier provides (recommended) or can obtain from the CA Workers’ Comp Institute at www.cwci.org.
Medical Provider Networks (MPN): If you are part of an MPN, your carrier will provide you specific information. As of the date of this e-Compliance, the DWC had not updated their sample documents, but you may want to periodically check http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/forms.html.
1. New MPN poster: post next to the general WC poster beginning 10/08/10.
2. New MPN pamphlet: provide upon hire beginning 10/08/10.
What Changes were made on the Posters to be in compliance with California Labor Laws:

- Added information on MPNs that includes information about an employee’s right to pre-designate a personal physician.
- Changes to the Division URL to reflect the DWC updated website.
- Minor changes in language to promote clarity (such as reversing sentence order under “Get Medical Care” to emphasize the priority of addressing emergency care first).
What Changes were made to MPN:
The amendments to the regulations include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Allows MPN notices to be distributed electronically to all covered workers.
- Eliminates the 14‐day MPN implementation and change of MPN notice period.
- Reduces distribution of both the Change of MPN notices and the Termination/Cessation of Use of MPN notices only to covered injured workers.
- Requires an MPN contact e‐mail address to be included in notices.
- Requires access to the MPN contact through the toll‐free number.
- Updates the Employee Poster and Notice of Potential Eligibility and DWC Claim Form
- Workers Compensation Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) www.dol.gov.
