Susan has a B.A. degree from Santa Clara University, a M.S.Ed. degree from CSU, East Bay, and a lifetime California Community Instructor Credential. She is the author of 3 books and several employer newsletters with circulations up to 10,000.

During her more than 20 years of Human Resource and high-level management work, Susan gained expertise in the full gamut of complex personnel issues and has coached hundreds of supervisors and managers in the proficiencies needed to create productive and legally compliant workplace environments. Susan excels in resolving complex organizational problems and has acted as an Ombudsman, investigator and a state-certified Civil Rights Coordinator. Her involvement with the creation of several Strategic Plans adds to her understanding of the real-life linkages between HR theory and practice. Susan is a Master HR Trainer and a certified Franklin-Covey trainer. Her work in Santa Clara, Sacramento, Marin and Santa Cruz counties has been with large and small public, private, educational and non-profit employers.

Susan specializes in diagnosing workplace issues and finding workable solutions with stakeholder buy-in, and measured results. Her approach to developing effective supervisory and management skills is to ground learning in solid theory, hands-on application and clear and productive feedback.
