California law requires organizations with 5 or more employees (including contractors, on-call staff, and temporary employees) to provide harassment training by 1/1/2021 and thereafter:

SUPERVISORS – At least 2-hours of training
1. within 6-months of hire or promotion, and
2. every two years.

NON-SUPERVISORS – At least 1-hour of training
1. within 6-months of hire, and
2. every two years.

EMPLOYERS WITH 50 OR MORE EMPLOYEES In addition to training non-supervisory employees by the end of 2020, these employers are also covered under a law from 2015 (AB 1825) and must continue to provide supervisory employees at least 2-hours of harassment prevention training within 6-months of hire/promotion into a supervisory position, and every two-years thereafter.
