Respecting Diversity
for Supervisors and Non-Supervisor
California law requires organizations with 5 or more employees to have provided harassment training by 1/1/2021 and thereafter:
SUPERVISORS – At least 2 hours of training
- within 6-months of hire or promotion, and
- every two
NON-SUPERVISORS – At least 1 hour of training
- within 6-months of hire, and
- every two years.
Temporary/Seasonal Employees – Since 2021 where this classification is expected to work less than 6-months, must have the training within the sooner of:
- 30-days of hire,
- or 100-hours actually worked.
TPO’s program goes beyond the topic of sexual harassment to address all forms of unlawful harassment and discrimination (age, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, etc.) in the workplace.
